Who is Lisa?

I am a consultant

I have been in human resources for over 30 years and am an SPHR and SHRM-SCP. I am what the industry would call a true generalist. During my tenure, I worked in and led most areas within human resources, including employee relations, compensation, HR administration and services, talent acquisition, organizational development, diversity programs, employee wellness, benefits, and HRIS. Now, I consult and provide those services to small and mid-sized businesses on a fractional basis.

I am also a coach

In 2017, I became certified as a Life Coach and hold a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) designation. A devotee of Brené Brown, I am certified to facilitate her groundbreaking Dare to Lead™ program. I infuse courage into our work and everyday lives, and I have a passion for sharing the program with businesses and individuals. Assessments are a passion of mine, and I use DISC, Driving Forces, and others to provide people with tools to understand how they’re wired and show up in the world.

What else?

A believer that showing up for your life is critical, I love leading people through coaching. How can you let go of the “shoulds,” the lies we all tell ourselves about how we should look, act, and perform, all the things that limit us from the life planned for us?  We can all come up with reasons why we can’t do what we want to do, but they are really just excuses, which are just lies to squirm out of responsibility for who we are or what we’ve done.  I’m all for pushing that aside and living to our potential.  The trick is that it’s not a destination, something we’re working on arriving at. The journey is the fun part. Let’s take it together.

What clients are saying…

I’ve had the privilege of having Lisa as a coach and can say that with her guidance I was able to develop AND act on future career goals for myself. You see, for quite some time I had been feeling stuck within my current employer and role, yet with all of the “noise” going on in life I couldn’t imagine a way out of it. I’d simply resigned myself into thinking that this was all there was until it wasn’t there anymore.  I didn’t know how to give myself permission to think about how I could participate in creating change for myself. Lisa’s coaching allowed me to open myself up to different possibilities and explore not only obvious opportunities but also to examine opportunities which I had shied away from and I didn’t even know why.

I always looked forward to my sessions with Lisa because I knew they would be focused and that by the end of our session I would have added another piece to the puzzle until I felt I had something solid in place.  Lisa was always professional and practical within our discussions and that was evident based on the exercises and assignments she had me work on. It’s through the sessions with Lisa that I learned how to allow myself the time and lean in on the tools she provided that provided me with the confidence to act on my new journey. I recommend her to friends and co-workers who are finding themselves where I was because I know she’s going to help them as well as she did me.  – Cyndi W.

Lisa’s insight, empathy and guidance created a space where I felt comfortable sharing my thoughts and goals with the group.  Each session was thoughtfully designed to create a foundation with the first session and to build upon that foundation in later sessions. The flow worked for me and I walked away with new friends and ideas of how to face my fears while I work toward my goals. –

When I think about Lisa Williams, certain words come to mind — kind, curious, insightful, supportive, brilliant, intuitive, trustworthy, respectful and a coach who holds a safe space for her clients who are willing and ready to do the work.  As a fellow coach, it’s imperative that we address our own fears and limiting beliefs to help others.  Lisa often started our sessions by asking, “So what’s keeping you up at night?”.  She challenged me to trust my instincts, be vulnerable and dig deep internally to discover what was holding me back from speaking my truth, reframing thoughts and emotions, creating healthy boundaries and learning to let go of past events that held me back from and moving forward in my professional and personal life. Ms. Williams asks probing questions inviting her clients to be vulnerable and explore their most private thoughts in search of behavioral change and favorable outcomes. – Denyce H.
